From school lunch to meal
Nutritional calculations are important, but they are meaningless if people don't eat them. We strive to prepare meals that are delicious.
BASE SYSTEM
1. Moisture
At Takamori no Sato, we serve roasted green tea, barley tea, sports drinks, Calpis, coffee, jelly, etc. The amount of fluid intake has a big impact on the body and mind, and even the elderly need more than 1500ml of fluid per day.
We encourage everyone to drink at least 1500ml of fluid per day, based on their individual preferences.
2. Meals
In Totsukawa Village, there is a long tradition of each household cultivating tea and making their own tea leaves. Even today, "tea porridge" is a popular soul food in Totsukawa Village. At Takamori no Sato, we prepare "tea porridge" for every meal and serve it to those who request it.
We are passionate about providing delicious meals to our users every day. We prioritize the health and satisfaction of each and every user, and will continue to support a rich life by providing nutritious and delicious meals.
3. Excretion
As someone involved in caregiving, I feel that providing an environment where users can eliminate in the toilet as much as possible is extremely important in order to protect their dignity.
For this reason, we encourage hydration, a balanced diet, and moderate exercise to prevent constipation. This will enable natural excretion without relying on laxatives. We believe that being able to excrete on one's own without relying on laxatives will directly lead to support for the independence of users and an improvement in their quality of life.
We do not view excretion support as simply a part of care, but will continue to do our utmost to ensure that it is an important initiative in protecting the privacy and dignity of our users.
4. Exercise
The average level of care required at special nursing homes for the elderly nationwide is about level 4, but if you just lie down, you will naturally become bedridden. Furthermore, if you just sit down, you are merely awake.
In order to improve this situation and help our users regain their physical functions, we actively provide walking training and rehabilitation in daily activities. If physical functions are restored through exercise, the range of movement of our users will increase, and they will be able to interact with others more, which will ultimately lead to mental stability.
We aim not only to "support" our users, but also to "restore their ability to move independently again." Through this initiative, we aim to provide our users with a richer, more physically and mentally life, and to realize a life of dignity.
